:: paint my album - a parishioner's plea

The Vicar is very aware that certain parishioners have their own websites - and here's one he's very pleased to support. Please do likewise.

A friend and I accidentally started an internet phenomenon based on redoing classic album covers using Microsoft Paint. It started as a joke, but now we have received 1,400 album covers from all over the world, have our own TV show in the UK, and have been featured in The Word Magazine, NME and the BBC. We were wondering if you could give us a bit of a shout out on your blog. We're trying to get 2,000 covers by december 23rd, and need all the help we can get!

The first cover done was 'Bad' by Michael Jackson. It was dreadful, but seemed to have struck a chord. People from as far away as Australia, China, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and North and South America have got on board, and we put them all up on the website

I'll attach a few below for you, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. It's mental how big this has got. We also film a show which critiques the albums sent in, which viewers find pretty funny. I hope you look at the site, and t!

 hat you find it suitable for your own magazine/webpage. From a purely business point of view, we recently showcased our covers on a gallery on NME.com -

and they registered a 50% surge in traffic compared with their usual photo galleries.
